Massage

Few words about my practice…

A style of my own

Health is the supreme gain, Content the supreme wealth, Confidence the supreme kin, Freedom the supreme good.

Dhammapada, chapter XV

I practise a deep, powerful, and structured form of massage.

Relaxation is not decreed; it is earned. Where tensions are long-standing and deeply rooted, the work must be demanding, at times uncomfortable. This is the price to pay to restore circulation, mobility, and to push pain back.

Once deep tensions have been released, the touch becomes lighter. The work grows subtler, more precise, and aims at the body’s overall balance.

Each gesture is carried out with concentration and presence. Protocols give structure to the work; the body determines how they are applied.

Because every person and every situation are unique, each massage is unique as well.

How the Session Unfolds

The protocols are described on the “Rates” page.
What follows concerns the general framework and the working logic of the session.

The session begins without any imposed ritual. A few indications may be exchanged if necessary, but most adjustments are made through touch, as the work progresses and in direct response to the body’s reactions.

The massage is deep and engages different parts of the body (hands, forearms, shoulders, sometimes knees) in order to work deeply into the tissues. It is not suitable for those seeking a light or standardised touch.

The massage is always practised on a mat. I do not work on a table (and I do not own one).

Sessions last two or three hours, depending on the option chosen.

A shower is available at the end of the session (towels and shower gel provided).
Including this time, please allow an additional ten to fifteen minutes on site. It is recommended not to plan anything demanding after the session.
